Airport terminal: now and planned (IELTS Writing Task 1 map)Two plans of an airport terminal, now and after planned changes. Now: a road with a bus stop runs along the south side. Passengers enter the check-in hall in the south-west, then pass through security and shops to a departure lounge along the north side, which leads to two gates. An area of grass lies east of the gates. Arrivals are handled in the centre, with baggage reclaim north of the arrivals hall. A large car park fills the east of the site. Planned: the departure lounge, baggage reclaim and arrivals hall will not change. The grass will be replaced by two more gates, making four. Part of the check-in hall will become self check-in machines, and the shops will become shops and cafés.
