A university campus in 2005 and today (IELTS Writing Task 1 map)Two maps of a university campus in 2005 and today. In 2005: a main road runs along the south of the campus, with an access road leading north to the main building in the centre. Lecture halls stand to the west of the main building and a library to the east, with a lake and trees in the north-east. A group of staff houses is in the north-west, a sports field fills the west of the campus, and a large car park covers the south-east. Today: the main building, lecture halls, lake and access road are unchanged, and the library has been extended southwards. The staff houses have been replaced by three blocks of student flats, and the sports field has been reduced to about a third of its size, with a new sports centre beside it. Most of the car park has been replaced by a science centre, leaving a smaller car park in the east.
